OCD treatment

Unwanted, intrusive thoughts and the urge to check, clean, count, or seek reassurance can take hours out of your day. OCD responds well to a combination of medication and focused therapy.

Common signs

  • Intrusive, distressing thoughts or images
  • Repetitive behaviors or mental rituals
  • Needing things to feel “just right”
  • Excessive reassurance-seeking
  • Rituals that take more than an hour a day
  • Avoiding triggers to reduce anxiety

Only a qualified clinician can make a diagnosis. These signs are a starting point for a conversation, not a self-diagnosis.

How treatment works

After a thorough evaluation, treatment may include medication proven to reduce obsessions and compulsions, paired with referral to or coordination with an ERP (exposure and response prevention) therapist. We track symptom severity over time so you can see progress.

Appointments are available in person at our Aurora office or by secure video anywhere in Colorado, including the Denver metro area.
