About
Meet Fasilat Olasumbo, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of San Integrative Psychiatry, serving Aurora, the Denver metro area, and all of Colorado.
Fasilat Olasumbo, MSN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of nursing experience and a focus on psychiatric care. She founded San Integrative Psychiatry to offer compassionate, individualized, evidence-informed mental health care.
Taking the first step toward mental health care can feel overwhelming. You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Fasilat works with people who want to understand their symptoms, function better day to day, and find a treatment approach that fits their needs, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and other mood disorders, ADHD, OCD, insomnia, and trauma and PTSD.
Approach to care
Fasilat provides individualized psychiatric assessment, treatment planning, medication management, and patient education. Her work draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which looks at how thoughts shape emotions and behaviors, and on Motivational Interviewing, which helps you find your own reasons and readiness for change.
At the first visit you explore what brought you in and decide together on the best path forward. You will always know why a treatment is recommended, what to expect, and what your other options are. With your permission, she coordinates with your primary care provider, therapist, and other clinicians.
